VFT Day 1

05 December 2011.

We finally had our first day of training. What we had on December 2nd was just an orientation.

We were grouped in three. Mine had three members and they made me their leader. Weh? Haha! Our group’s name is TRIP, which stands for Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, and Punctuality. Our group’s name had to be based on some values that we’ve come up with or agreed to have throughout the training. If it’s just for VFT or not, I can’t remember.

I suddenly thought, what if one of them (the facilitators) suddenly get to visit this blog of mine? Haha!

Moving on…

We were asked to do some things, which included introducing ourselves. It’s basically given to do so. And we did introduce ourselves. When we’re all done, Camille told us that the introduction of ourselves was taken as the diagnostic impromptu speech. Yes, it was graded. Good thing it will not affect our final grades.

I definitely got a low grade for one main reason. Guess what? My accent. I had British accent, which was actually a concern for Camille and me. What are we going to do about it?

Tomorrow will be our VFT grad day. So far, I’ve been doing good. Thank you, Camille, Mai, Nic, and Una!

It’s been more than a week since VFT Day 1 so I can’t really remember everything that happened on day 1. I do remember our group getting a lot of Kudos points though. We were awarded with Chips Ahoy and Kit Kat. We shared it with everyone during our break the following day.

I also remember Camille telling us that people named Mai and Nic would be coming to join her. The two were expected to refresh us with grammar.
