Breaking the fast

After dozens of imaginations where and how to break my fast, I decided to do it in a restaurant called Chef’s Quarter. It’s in SM Megamall’s Atrium, 3/F.

I ordered their Soup of the Day, which was Cream of Vegetable. It was served with two cornbread-like breads. This cornbread I am talking about is a bread I used to have when I was little. Too bad I don’t see much of it now.

The soup was not as heavy as most cream-soups. It was light with a subtle taste of the vegetables. I’m not sure if there was something wrong with my taste buds because I couldn’t tell what vegetables were in the soup. I do appreciate it, though. And I like that it was not too hot when served. It even stayed hot throughout the time I consumed it.

My choice of beverage was Dalandan, with no ice. I like it! It was really delicious. There were even dozens of dalandan pulps. It’s sweetness and sourness were in balance. I’m just not used to drinking dalandan, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they tell me it was 100% natural.
