This week ended with a sore throat. And it’s so annoying because I feel weak.
It began last night and got worse every hour. When I left the hospital, I was already saving my voice. I hope it’ll be over tonight so I can get back on track on Monday.
It’s just my first week in Maxicare at The Medical City but it feels like I’ve been here longer. I have to thank the staff for that. We’ve built good rapport with each other, which just proves that nurses are really amazing people.
I expected myself to have a day or two of orientation this week and start soon, but it turned out that I still have a lot to learn. I was even expecting myself to sit and attend to patients today, but Saturday is just a day for the regulars. It has been pretty busy, though not as toxic (for me) as what others, especially someone particular, thought it would be. I rarely use the word toxic, because I’ve faced busy situations before so stuff like that don’t get to me.
I wonder if I still remember what I wore this week.
Monday: Black floral blouse
Tuesday: White short-sleeve blouse
Wednesday: White long-sleeve blouse
Thursday: Pink blouse
Friday: Green polo-blouse and jeans. Yes, jeans.
Saturday: White blouse with floral print. It’s like Bella’s.
It was on Wednesday when some, which were a lot, of the staff mistook me as our supervisor. It began with Dr. Baltazar followed, and pressed, by Sir Jason. Even Dr. Dennis called me by our supervisor’s name. I thought he was only joking but it turned out that he really got fooled.
